Prayer Challenge Day 6

Sorry, I've been a little under the weather today...just getting around to posting.

Every day they continued to meet together in the temple courts. They broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts, (Act 2:46 NIV)

The early church celebrated together.  They celebrated the resurrection and the new life they were experiencing. The were sharing in what it really meant to be the people of God.

Today I'm praying that I will learn to be that open, honest, and sincere when we meet together tomorrow morning.  That I'll be able to have gratitude in my heart for the opportunity to worship with my family of faith.

Prayer Challenge- Day 5

 17 And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him. (Col 3:17 NIV)

You've probably suspected that we've been meditating through the Colossians passage from Sunday.  I hope that has been helpful in your prayer life.

What does it mean to you to do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus? What about all the we do?  Word? Deed?

Notice the notion of giving thanks again.  Sure seems like a lot of gratitude...perhaps there is a key there.

Prayer Challenge- Day 4

 16 Let the message of Christ dwell among you richly as you teach and admonish one another with all wisdom through psalms, hymns, and songs from the Spirit, singing to God with gratitude in your hearts. (Col 3:16 NIV)

As you meditate on this verse, what word(s) sticks with you?  Have you had this kind of experience with other believers?

When you pray, keep gratitude at the center of your thoughts.
